Dr. Alison Curdt is a PGA Master Professional in Instruction, LPGA Master Professional, and one of Golf Digest’s Top 50 Teachers in America. One of just nine women to earn the PGA’s highest instructional credential and only one of two to achieve dual master professional status with both the PGA and LPGA, Alison brings over 35 years of competitive golf experience. She played on a full scholarship at Florida State University as a two-time Academic All-American, earning degrees in Psychology and Professional Golf Management.
Her teaching excellence has earned her numerous honors, including LPGA Western Section Teacher of the Year (2012, 2015, 2017, 2018), LPGA National Teacher of the Year (2015), and PGA Northern Chapter Teacher of the Year (2015). In 2016, she was named Southern California PGA Teacher of the Year and recognized by Golf Digest as one of America’s Best Young Instructors. Her club fitting skills were also celebrated, earning Clubfitter of the Year from both the Northern Chapter PGA (2016) and the SCPGA (2018). She has been named a Top 50 Instructor by the LPGA three times and was inducted into the SCPGA Teaching Hall of Fame. Alison was honored as Golf Professional of the Year by the SCPGA Northern Chapter (2017), the SCPGA (2019), and the LPGA Western Section (2020).
Alison teaches at Wood Ranch Golf Club in the Los Angeles area and is also a licensed sport psychotherapist. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Sport Psychology and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. In her private practice, Curdt Performance Therapy, she works with individuals, couples, families, and athletes, including clients from Team USA and Red Bull.
Alison continues to compete at a high level, having played in seven LPGA Tour Majors and making history as the first woman from Southern California to qualify for the PGA Professional Championship (2018, 2021). She was a member of the winning U.S. team at the inaugural Women’s PGA Cup in 2019 and is a seven-time SCPGA Omega Women’s Player of the Year.
Her teaching philosophy is student-centered, integrating video analysis, club fitting, golf fitness, and mental training to support each golfer’s unique goals.
